#### An IRC Client

\*\*NOTE: Burd IRC is no longer being developed and supported. Any bugs or issues will not be fixed. We recommend switching to a different client such as HexChat. You can learn more about the future of the Burd IRC Project at [https://burdirc.github.io\*\*](https://burdirc.github.io**)

Burd IRC is a modern IRC client written in HTML and JavaScript and using electron. The Burd IRC client Is free and open source software licensed under the General Public License v3.0.

Key Features:

* Built in file uploading.
* In-line media parsing.
* SSL/TLS support.
* Various Themes (Support for custom themes coming soon)
* SASL plain support and support for password protected networks/servers.

Take into consideration there is only two official main developers/managers for the Burd IRC project and development can be slow sometimes. Also take into consideration Burd IRC Is missing many things because the Burd IRC client itself is less than a year old.
