#### Self-hosted dashboard for your homelab services and links

Dashy is a self-hosted start page for your services and bookmarks. It
shows each item with an icon, its status and optional widgets, and
supports themes, multiple pages, search, keyboard shortcuts and an
in-browser config editor.

**Getting started**

The service starts right after installation and listens on
127.0.0.1:4000 (this machine only). Open <http://localhost:4000>.

The dashboard is configured in
/var/snap/dashy/common/user-data/conf.yml, which you can edit by hand
or from the web interface. Changes saved from the web interface are
backed up to /var/snap/dashy/common/user-data/config-backups.

To open it to your network:

```
sudo snap set dashy host=0.0.0.0
```

**Settings**

```
sudo snap set dashy port=4000 host=127.0.0.1
sudo snap set dashy http-auth=true
```

**Ping checks**

Status checks over HTTP work out of the box. Ping checks
(pingCheckEnabled) need raw ICMP sockets; to allow them, run:

```
sudo snap connect dashy:network-observe
```

**HTTPS**

Place dashy-pub.pem and dashy-priv.key in /var/snap/dashy/common/ssl and
restart the service. HTTPS is then served on port 4001 (ssl-port).
