#### Network-wide ads & trackers blocking DNS server

AdGuard Home is a network-wide software for blocking ads & tracking. After
you set it up, it'll cover ALL your home devices, and you don't need any
client-side software for that.

It operates as a DNS server that re-routes tracking domains to a "black hole,"
thus preventing your devices from connecting to those servers. It's based
on software we use for our public AdGuard DNS servers -- both share a lot
of common code.

IMPORTANT:

1. Once it's installed, open <http://127.0.0.1:3000/> in your browser to do the initial setup and learn how to configure your devices to use AdGuard Home. You don't need to Launch anything explicitly, AdGuard Home service is already started after the installation.
2. If you're running it on Ubuntu, you may need to select a different "Listen interface" for the DNS server. Listening to all interfaces is not possible because Ubuntu's systemd-resolved service uses 127.0.0.1:53 already.

## Enable snaps on CentOS and install AdGuard Home

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap is available for [CentOS 7.6+](https://snapcraft.io/install/adguard-home/centos), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6+, from the [Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL) (EPEL) repository. The EPEL repository can be added to your system with the following command:

```
sudo yum install epel-release
```

Snap can now be installed as follows:

```
sudo yum install snapd
```

Once installed, the *systemd* unit that manages the main snap communication socket needs to be enabled:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket
```

To enable *classic* snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between `/var/lib/snapd/snap` and `/snap`:

```
sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install AdGuard Home
