#### A search engine for the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (saww) and Ahl al-Bayt (as).

Anwaar app is a search engine for the Hadith and narrations of Prophet Muhammad (saww) and Ahl al-Bayt (as) in Arabic and English.

The app contains the following features:

* Search for Hadith: searching can be done using phrases from the Hadith text, and it is possible to filter the search results by choosing the sayer or by choosing several topics.
* Browse Topics and Search for Topic: these two features allow exploring all included Hadith.
* Hadith of the Day: it is possible to enable a daily notification as reminder to read the Hadith of the day.
* Favorites: this feature allows adding any Hadith to the list of favorites so that it can be easily found at a later time.
* Browse Group: this feature allows browsing a group of Hadith regularly and to add notification reminders to do so.
* Random Browsing: this feature allows displaying a random group of Hadith.
* Topic Links: this feature makes it easy to discover related topics.

Count of Hadith in Arabic: 4400

Count of Hadith in English: 2600

The sources of Hadith used in the app are Hadith books by Shia Muslim scholars.

Insha'Allah the app will be regularly updated to add more Hadith, to add new features, and to resolve any bugs.

We would be delighted to hear your suggestions about improving Anwaar.

## Enable snaps on Ubuntu and install Anwaar - Hadith of Ahl al-Bayt

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

If you’re running [Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)](https://www.ubuntu.com/) or later, including [Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver)](https://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/features) and [Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseNotes), you don’t need to do anything. Snap is already installed and ready to go.

For versions of Ubuntu between [14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TrustyTahr/ReleaseNotes) and [15.10 (Wily Werewolf)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WilyWerewolf/ReleaseNotes), as well as Ubuntu flavours that don’t include *snap* by default, *snap* can be installed from the Ubuntu Software Centre by searching for *snapd*.

Alternatively, snapd can be installed from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
