#### Private, encrypted media player for your own sources

BluePIN Player is a free, private media player. It doesn't include, sell or link to any content: you connect your own sources (your personal media server, your live streams or your security cameras) and BluePIN plays them on your desktop, TV and phone.

**Features**

* End-to-end encrypted setup: link the app by scanning a QR code with your phone or entering a 6-letter code at bluepin.club. The configuration is encrypted on your phone and only the linked device can read it — not even our servers.
* No accounts, no tracking: we don't collect personal data or what you watch.
* Live TV with programme guide, fast channel switching and automatic reconnection.
* Video library for your own server: search, "My list", continue watching, quality selection and automatic next episode.
* Plays channels most players can't (MPEG-2), converting them on the fly.
* Parental control with PIN.
* Connection speed test, with a warning if your connection isn't fast enough.
* Keyboard, mouse and remote-control friendly.

Also available on Windows, macOS, Android, Android TV, Fire TV, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Samsung and LG smart TVs.

BluePIN Player doesn't provide any content. You are responsible for having the right to play the sources you connect.

## Enable snaps on openSUSE and install BluePIN Player

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed from the command line on openSUSE Leap 15.x and Tumbleweed.

You need first add the *snappy* repository from the terminal. Choose the appropriate command depending on your installed openSUSE flavor.

Tumbleweed:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Tumbleweed snappy
```

Leap 15.x:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Leap_15.6 snappy
```

If needed, Swap out `openSUSE_Leap_15.` for, `openSUSE_Leap_16.0` if you’re using a different version of openSUSE.

With the repository added, import its GPG key:

```
sudo zypper --gpg-auto-import-keys refresh
```

Finally, upgrade the package cache to include the new *snappy* repository:

```
sudo zypper dup --from snappy
```

Snap can now be installed with the following:

```
sudo zypper install snapd
```

You then need to either reboot, logout/login or `source /etc/profile` to have /snap/bin added to PATH.
Additionally, enable and start both the *snapd* and the *snapd.apparmor* services with the following commands:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor
```

### Install BluePIN Player
