#### Open source clone of Theme Hospital

CorsixTH aims to re-implement the game engine of Theme Hospital, and be able to load the original game data files. This means that you will need a purchased copy of Theme Hospital, or a copy of the demo, in order to use CorsixTH. After most of the original engine has been re-implemented in open source code, the project will serve as a base from which extensions and improvements to the original game can be made. We use graphics, sound and other data from the original game so one of the following is required Original game CD from eBay etc. or your dusty bookshelf A download from GOG.com or Origin <https://github.com/CorsixTH/CorsixTH/wiki/Getting-Started>

## Enable snaps on elementary OS and install CorsixTH

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed on elementary OS from the command line. Open *Terminal* from the Applications launcher and type the following:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install CorsixTH

To install CorsixTH, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install corsixth
```
