#### Download Metalinks with cURL for Debianish distros

This snap ships a build of cURL with [Metalink][1] support to provide a *workaround* for Debianish GNU/Linux distribution where the feature is not enabled due to the missing packaging of libmetalink([Debian][2], [Ubuntu][3]).

This snap does not guarantee to be up-to-date with upstream and free of security exploits, and is only recommended for downloading metalinks only.

## Enable snaps on elementary OS and install cURL(with Metalink support) (UNOFFICIAL)

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed on elementary OS from the command line. Open *Terminal* from the Applications launcher and type the following:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install cURL(with Metalink support) (UNOFFICIAL)

To install cURL(with Metalink support) (UNOFFICIAL), simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install curl-metalink
```
