#### A tool for exploring each layer in a docker image

Dive is a tool for exploring a docker image, layer contents, and discovering ways to shrink the size of your Docker/OCI image. To learn more about dive, see <https://github.com/wagoodman/dive>.

**Usage**

Install the Docker and Dive snaps and connect them:

```
sudo snap install docker
sudo snap install dive
sudo snap connect dive:docker-executables docker:docker-executables
sudo snap connect dive:docker-daemon docker:docker-daemon
```

Run `dive`:

```
dive ubuntu:latest
```

## Enable snaps on KDE Neon and install dive

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed from the command line. Open the *Konsole* terminal and enter the following:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

### Install dive

To install dive, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install dive
```
