#### Gemma 3 inference snap

This snap installs an optimized environment for inference with Gemma 3.

Before you start, make sure to have the necessary drivers installed on the host:
<https://documentation.ubuntu.com/inference-snaps/how-to/install-drivers/>

**Install:**

`sudo snap install gemma3`

**Get help:**

`gemma3 --help`

## Enable snaps on Debian and install gemma3

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

### Enable snapd

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:

```
sudo snap install snapd
```

### Install gemma3

To install gemma3, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install gemma3
```
