#### Create or open user interface designs for GTK+ applications

Glade is a RAD tool to enable quick & easy development of user interfaces
for the GTK+ 3 toolkit and the GNOME desktop environment.

The user interfaces designed in Glade are saved as XML and these can be
loaded by applications dynamically as needed by using GtkBuilder or used
directly to define a new GtkWidget derived object class using
GTK+ new template feature.

By using GtkBuilder, Glade XML files can be used in numerous programming
languages including C, C++, C#, Vala, Java, Perl, Python, and others.

## Enable snaps on Raspberry Pi and install Glade

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On a [Raspberry Pi](https://www.raspberrypi.org/) running the latest version of [Raspbian](https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/) snap can be installed directly from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

You will also need to reboot your device:

```
sudo reboot
```

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:

```
sudo snap install snapd
```

### Install Glade

To install Glade, simply use the following command:
