#### A self-running photo booth for your event

Glitzycam turns your Linux computer into a photo booth for weddings,
parties, birthdays and corporate events.

Guests see one big Start button. The booth counts down, takes the
template's photos, and builds a print-ready 4x6" photo with the
template's frame and text. The finished photo is saved to your Pictures
folder and appears in the in-app gallery.

FEATURES

* Built-in templates for weddings, birthdays, baby showers and more
* Create and edit your own templates (background, photos, overlay, text)
* Face Fun: costume props detected on guests' faces and baked into the photo
* Built-in and downloadable themed Face Fun prop packs, with live preview
* Print directly to network photo printers, or use the system print dialog
* Share a photo by QR code over the booth's own Wi-Fi (no cloud upload)
* Optionally share to Snapshots Around The World, a moderated public map
* Load templates and prop packs from your optional Glitzycam Web account
* English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese

DESIGNED FOR EVENTS

* Kiosk-style guest screen with a hidden operator menu
* Works with the computer's camera only; no account, printer or internet
  is needed to take photos
* Photos stay on the computer unless the operator prints, shares or
  publishes them

Snapshots is public and optional. Every upload is reviewed before it
appears on the map, guests must confirm they have permission and accept
the community guidelines, and every published photo has a report link.

## Enable snaps on Pop!\_OS and install Glitzycam

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed on Pop!\_OS from the command line. Open Terminal from the Applications launcher and type the following:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install Glitzycam

To install Glitzycam, simply use the following command:

```
