#### Take your Jellyfin music offline on MP3 players and storage devices

JellyTunes is a desktop app for Jellyfin users who want their music offline. Browse the artists, album artists, albums, playlists and genres on your server, pick a destination such as an MP3 player, a USB drive, an SD card or any local folder, and hit sync. JellyTunes downloads the tracks, converts formats when needed, embeds lyrics and cover art, and mirrors your server's folder structure at the destination.

Features:

* Browse your full Jellyfin library: artists, album artists, albums, playlists and genres
* Sync to MP3 players, USB drives, SD cards and local folders
* Selective sync that copies only what is new or changed, and flags tracks that changed on the server
* Sync preview with the exact list of additions, updates and removals, including track count, size and duration
* FLAC to MP3 conversion with configurable bitrate (128k, 192k or 320k), saved per device
* Lyrics as .lrc sidecar files or embedded into the tracks
* Cover art embedded into each track or written as companion cover.jpg files
* ReplayGain tags carried over from Jellyfin for consistent playback volume
* Storage bar with live size estimates that warns when a selection exceeds free space
* FAT32, exFAT and NTFS detection, with filenames sanitized for each
* Per-destination history so you can pick up where you left off
* Cancel a sync at any point without corrupting what is already written

JellyTunes needs a Jellyfin server reachable on your network. It is free software released under the GPL v3.

## Enable snaps on openSUSE and install JellyTunes

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed from the command line on openSUSE Leap 15.x and Tumbleweed.

You need first add the *snappy* repository from the terminal. Choose the appropriate command depending on your installed openSUSE flavor.

Tumbleweed:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Tumbleweed snappy
```

Leap 15.x:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Leap_15.6 snappy
```

If needed, Swap out `openSUSE_Leap_15.` for, `openSUSE_Leap_16.0` if you’re using a different version of openSUSE.

With the repository added, import its GPG key:

```
sudo zypper --gpg-auto-import-keys refresh
```

Finally, upgrade the package cache to include the new *snappy* repository:

```
sudo zypper dup --from snappy
```

Snap can now be installed with the following:

```
sudo zypper install snapd
```

You then need to either reboot, logout/login or `source /etc/profile` to have /snap/bin added to PATH.
Additionally, enable and start both the *snapd* and the *snapd.apparmor* services with the following commands:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor
```

### Install JellyTunes

To install JellyTunes, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install jellytunes
```
