#### jqp is a TUI for exploring the jq command line utility

jqp is a terminal user interface (TUI) for exploring the jq command line utility.

You can use it to run jq queries interactively. If no query is provided, the interface will prompt
you for one.

The command accepts an optional query argument which will be executed against the input JSON or
newline-delimited JSON (NDJSON).

You can provide the input JSON or NDJSON either through a file or via standard input (stdin).

Usage:
jqp [query] [flags]

Flags:
--config string path to config file (default is $HOME/.jqp.yaml)
-f, --file string path to the input JSON file
-h, --help help for jqp
-t, --theme string jqp theme
-v, --version version for jqp

## Enable snaps on elementary OS and install jqp

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed on elementary OS from the command line. Open *Terminal* from the Applications launcher and type the following:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install jqp

To install jqp, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install jqp
```
