#### Photo geotagging program

KGeoTag is a standalone geotagging program. Images can be associated with geographic coordinates by different means: On the one hand, a matching with GPX encoded geodata can be done, on the other hand, the coordinates can be set manually, either via drag and drop onto a map, via bookmarks or by manually supplying them. The coordinates can be stored in the images' Exif header and/or in XMP sidecar files.

## Enable snaps on Debian and install KGeoTag

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:

```
sudo snap install snapd
```

### Install KGeoTag

To install KGeoTag, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install kgeotag
```
