#### Layan GTK Themes for GTK Snaps

**These are the Layan GTK themes for Snaps.** Layan is a Material Design theme for GNOME/GTK based desktop environments. This snap provides the GTK themes in a form that can be used by other snapped applications.

**Attributions**:
This snap is packaged from vinceliuice's repository. You can download the whole theme from there:

<https://github.com/vinceliuice/Layan-gtk-theme>

To connect the theme to an app, please run:
```
sudo snap connect [other snap]:gtk-3-themes layan-themes:gtk-3-themes
```

To connect the theme to all apps which have available plugs to gtk-common-themes you can run:

```
for i in $(snap connections | grep gtk-common-themes:gtk-3-themes | awk '{print $2}'); do sudo snap connect $i layan-themes:gtk-3-themes; done
```

If you are using the Tela icon theme along with Orchis themes, you need to install ```tela-icons``` from the Snap Store (<https://snapcraft.io/tela-icons>) in order to see the app icons in the store properly.

To install tela-icons, please run:

```
sudo snap install tela-icons
```

## Enable snaps on openSUSE and install Layan Themes for Snaps

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed from the command line on openSUSE Leap 15.x and Tumbleweed.

You need first add the *snappy* repository from the terminal. Choose the appropriate command depending on your installed openSUSE flavor.

Tumbleweed:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Tumbleweed snappy
```

Leap 15.x:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Leap_15.6 snappy
```

If needed, Swap out `openSUSE_Leap_15.` for, `openSUSE_Leap_16.0` if you’re using a different version of openSUSE.

With the repository added, import its GPG key:

```
sudo zypper --gpg-auto-import-keys refresh
```

Finally, upgrade the package cache to include the new *snappy* repository:

```
sudo zypper dup --from snappy
```

Snap can now be installed with the following:

```
sudo zypper install snapd
```

You then need to either reboot, logout/login or `source /etc/profile` to have /snap/bin added to PATH.
Additionally, enable and start both the *snapd* and the *snapd.apparmor* services with the following commands:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor
```

### Install Layan Themes for Snaps

To install Layan Themes for Snaps, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install layan-themes
```
