#### The modern, AI-powered open-source, web based, selfhosted SQL IDE for cloud-native teams

Web-based SQL IDE for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, SQL Server,
MongoDB, and Redis with AI query assistance.

Installing the snap starts a background service that serves the app on
port 3000 (<http://localhost:3000>). State (SQLite storage, generated
admin credentials) lives in $SNAP\_DATA
(/var/snap/libredb-studio/current). On first run the service generates
admin credentials and logs the admin password once:

```
 sudo snap logs libredb-studio
```

Databases are reached over TCP; under strict confinement, unix-socket
connections to databases on the host are not supported.

## Enable snaps on Pop!\_OS and install LibreDB Studio

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed on Pop!\_OS from the command line. Open Terminal from the Applications launcher and type the following:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install LibreDB Studio

To install LibreDB Studio, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install libredb-studio
```
