#### GPU RTSP IP Camera, CCTV, NVR/DVR/XVR & Cloud P2P Viewer (Dahua, Hikvision)

NVR Command Center is an ultra-low-latency, GPU-accelerated multi-camera
RTSP IP Camera, CCTV, NVR, DVR, and XVR surveillance video wall and monitor
for Linux and Ubuntu, built in Native Rust (eframe/egui + OpenGL) with
zero-probe FFmpeg workers and built-in Cloud P2P remote tunneling.

Stream 1 to 32 concurrent security cameras 24/7 with < 0.9s parallel startup,
< 80ms glass-to-glass live latency, zero stream drift, and ~65-110 MB RAM on
both local LAN and any remote internet connection.

Native Linux Alternative for CCTV & NVR Client Apps:

* Dahua: SmartPSS (Smart PSS), DMSS (gDMSS / iDMSS), Easy4ip (Easy4ipCloud)
* CP Plus (CPPlus): KVMS Pro (KVMS), gCMOB, iCMOB, InstaOn, EzyKam

  for < 80ms real-time glass-to-glass latency with zero inter-camera drift
* Built-in Cloud P2P Remote Access (Easy4ip / InstaOn / P2P Serial Number):
  view your NVR/DVR/XVR cameras from any outside Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot with
  zero router port forwarding and zero extra home hardware
* Automatic LAN <-> Cloud P2P & Tailscale detection and 1-click Top Bar switch
* Instant < 0.9s parallel multi-camera startup (H.265 / HEVC & H.264)
* GPU OpenGL UV shader digital zoom (1.0x - 5.0x) and click-drag pan at 0% CPU
* Per-camera [SD]/[HD] stream quality toggle and [Single]/[Grid] view buttons

## Enable snaps on Arch Linux and install NVR Command Center (RTSP & CCTV Viewer)

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On Arch Linux, snap can be installed from the [Arch User Repository (AUR).](https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/snapd/)
The [manual build process](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Installing_packages) is the Arch-supported
install method for AUR packages, and you’ll need the [prerequisites](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Prerequisites)
installed before you can install any AUR package. You can then install snap with the following:

```
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/snapd.git
cd snapd
makepkg -si
```

Once installed, the *systemd* unit that manages the main snap communication socket needs to be enabled:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket
```

If [AppArmor](https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AppArmor) is enabled in your system, enable the service which loads AppArmor profiles for snaps:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor.service
```

To enable *classic* snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between `/var/lib/snapd/snap` and `/snap`:

```
sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
