SABnzbd makes Usenet as simple and streamlined as possible by automating everything we can. All you have to do is add an .nzb. SABnzbd takes over from there, where it will be automatically downloaded, verified, repaired, extracted and filed away with zero human interaction.

*Please note:* The snap automatically gets all SABnzbd releases pushed to the stable channel, including Beta/Alpha/RC releases. This is due to limitations in snap's release process.

## Enable snaps on Debian and install SABnzbd

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:

```
sudo snap install snapd
```

### Install SABnzbd

To install SABnzbd, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install sabnzbd
```
