#### Crawl a website and see its link structure and on-page SEO as a glowing map

SEO Mapper by Team of Monkeys .com crawls a website one page at a time and draws it as a glowing map, in a gentle cyberpunk dashboard with Matrix rain behind it. Type a web address, press MAP IT and watch the site appear: the home page sits at the centre and every page lands on the ring for the number of clicks it takes to reach.

**★ See how your link structure flows**

* Node size is link equity: an internal PageRank over the site's followed links, so you can see which pages your internal linking makes strong
* Colour pages by SEO score, HTTP status, click depth or site section
* Radial, tree and web layouts; show every internal link or just the crawl tree, and watch link equity flow along the links

**★ Hover for the vital signs, click for the full report**

* Hover a page for its score, status, response time, link equity, depth, inlinks, outlinks, word count and top issues
* Click it for everything else: a search result preview with title and description length meters, the headings outline, canonical and robots directives, Open Graph and structured data, images without alt text, every page that links to it with the anchor text, every page it links to, and the click path from the home page

**★ 45 SEO checks, each explained**

Broken pages and the links to them, redirects and redirect chains, missing or duplicate titles and descriptions, H1 problems, thin content, noindex, canonicals, slow responses, mixed content, mobile viewport, deep pages, sitemap gaps and orphans, and more. Every issue says why it matters.

**★ Polite by design**

One request at a time with a pause between them (0.5 to 5 seconds), robots.txt and its Crawl-delay honoured, a back-off when a server says it is busy, and an honest User-Agent: SEOMapperMonkeys, with a link to its website.

* Save maps and open them later; export pages and issues as CSV, or the map as a PNG image
* A terminal mode: `seo-mapper-monkeys --cli example.com`

No telemetry, no accounts and no servers of ours: SEO Mapper talks only to the site you map. Only map sites you are allowed to crawl.

Keys: Enter map it, Space pause, 1 2 3 layouts, C colour, S size, F fit, arrows walk the map, / find a page, Esc close, Ctrl+S save, Ctrl+O open, F11 full screen, Ctrl+Q quit.

## Enable snaps on openSUSE and install SEO Mapper

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

Snap can be installed from the command line on openSUSE Leap 15.x and Tumbleweed.

You need first add the *snappy* repository from the terminal. Choose the appropriate command depending on your installed openSUSE flavor.

Tumbleweed:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Tumbleweed snappy
```

Leap 15.x:

```
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system:/snappy/openSUSE_Leap_15.6 snappy
```

If needed, Swap out `openSUSE_Leap_15.` for, `openSUSE_Leap_16.0` if you’re using a different version of openSUSE.

With the repository added, import its GPG key:

```
sudo zypper --gpg-auto-import-keys refresh
```

Finally, upgrade the package cache to include the new *snappy* repository:

```
sudo zypper dup --from snappy
```

Snap can now be installed with the following:

```
sudo zypper install snapd
```

You then need to either reboot, logout/login or `source /etc/profile` to have /snap/bin added to PATH.
Additionally, enable and start both the *snapd* and the *snapd.apparmor* services with the following commands:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor
```

### Install SEO Mapper
