#### WhatsApp, Discord, Teams, Outlook and OneDrive together in one window

Stop juggling browser tabs and separate apps. Tabchat brings WhatsApp, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and OneDrive together in one clean window, with a tab for each service.

Built for Linux, and light on memory: all services share one browser engine, and tabs you don't use can go to sleep.

NEVER MISS A MESSAGE

* Unread counters on every tab, on the tray icon and on the dock icon
* Keeps running in the background when you close the window
* Click a notification to jump straight to the right tab
* Optionally starts hidden when you log in

STAY FOCUSED

* Do not disturb for an hour, until tomorrow or until you turn it off
* Follows Ubuntu's own Do not disturb automatically
* Tab sleep frees memory from tabs you're not using

MADE FOR SCHOOL AND WORK

* One shared Microsoft sign-in for Teams, Outlook and OneDrive
* Stays signed in after a restart, also with school and work accounts
* Multiple accounts of the same service, side by side
* Screen sharing in Discord and Teams

FAST AND FAMILIAR

* Ctrl+K quick search for every tab and action
* Browser-style shortcuts: Alt+1–9, Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+Shift+T
* Choose where links open: your browser or Tabchat itself
* Light and dark theme that follows your system
* Available in English and Dutch

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Tabchat collects no data: no analytics, no tracking, no account. Your sign-ins stay on your own computer. It is free and open source (MIT).

Tabchat is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp, Meta, Discord or Microsoft. It shows the official web versions of these services.

## Enable snaps on Ubuntu and install Tabchat

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

If you’re running [Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)](https://www.ubuntu.com/) or later, including [Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver)](https://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/features) and [Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseNotes), you don’t need to do anything. Snap is already installed and ready to go.

For versions of Ubuntu between [14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TrustyTahr/ReleaseNotes) and [15.10 (Wily Werewolf)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WilyWerewolf/ReleaseNotes), as well as Ubuntu flavours that don’t include *snap* by default, *snap* can be installed from the Ubuntu Software Centre by searching for *snapd*.

Alternatively, snapd can be installed from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.

### Install Tabchat

To install Tabchat, simply use the following command:
