Install the snap 2. Purchase the original Dark Forces from GOG 3. Download an offline installer for Dark Forces for Windows 4. Open terminal and run: `the-force-engine.import-gog-data ~/Downloads/setup_star_warstm_dark_forces_1.0.2_\(20338\).exe` 5. Run *The Force Engine* from the the graphical shell. **Relevant Directories** The game will look for a copy of *Dark Forces* in the directory `~/snap/the-force-engine/common/DarkForces`. If you have a physical copy of the came, please copy all the game files there. The directory is auto-detected if `DARK.GOB` is present there. They update automatically and roll back gracefully. Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions. ### Enable snapd Snap is available for [Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8](https://www.redhat.com/en/enterprise-linux-8) and RHEL 7, from the 7.6 release onward. The packages for RHEL 7, RHEL 8, and RHEL 9 are in each distribution’s respective [Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL) (EPEL) repository. The instructions for adding this repository diverge slightly between RHEL 7, RHEL 8 and RHEL 9, which is why they’re listed separately below.
