#### Privacy preserving task and to do list manager.

TodoPod is a Trello-like Solid Flutter app to manage todo/task lists
based on the todo.txt format. Tasks can be imported and exported from
other apps using the todo.txt format. Each item has a title, notes,
priority (A=now, B=today, C=this week, D=next week, E=later, and
F=parked), together with optional due date, duration, project (to
collect together related tasks), and a context (where the task is to
be undertaken). You can view your tasks in an ordered list, a kanban
board, or as a planner/calendar. All tasks are securely and privately
stored encrypted on your own personal online data store (Pod) hosted
in a Data Vault on a Solid server of your choice. The app is
multi-platform so you can install it for your desktop or mobile
device, or run it directly through a web browser, all accessing and
updating the tasks encrypted within your Pod.

Solid Pods are a new approach to handling your personal data on the World Wide Web and is the latest innovation from the inventor of the WWW, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Obtain a Pod for yourself on any Solid server and link it to your app.

## Enable snaps on Kubuntu and install TodoPod

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

If you’re running [Kubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)](https://kubuntu.org/) or later, including [Kubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BionicBeaver/ReleaseNotes/Kubuntu) and [Kubuntu 18.10 (Cosmic Cuttlefish)](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CosmicCuttlefish/ReleaseNotes/Kubuntu), you don’t need to do anything. Snap is already installed and ready to go.

Versions of Kubuntu between [14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)](https://kubuntu.org/news/kubuntu-14-04-lts) and [15.10 (Wily Werewolf)](https://kubuntu.org/news/kubuntu-15-10) don’t include *snap* by default, but *snap* can be installed from the command line as follows:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

### Install TodoPod

To install TodoPod, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install todopod
```
