#### Twine, a tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories

You don't need to write any code to create a simple story with Twine
but you can extend your stories with variables, conditional logic,
images, CSS, and JavaScript when you're ready.
Twine publishes directly to HTML, so you can post your work nearly
anywhere. Anything you create with it is completely free to use any
way you like, including for commercial purposes.
Twine was originally created by Chris Klimas in 2009 and is now
maintained by a whole bunch of people at several different repositories.

This is an unofficial snap built from the releases at <https://github.com/klembot/twinejs/releases> using the snapcraft configuration at <https://github.com/popey/twinejs-snap>

## Enable snaps on Debian and install Twine

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:

```
sudo snap install snapd
```

### Install Twine

To install Twine, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install twinejs
```
