#### Woodpecker CI/CD agent component

Woodpecker is a simple, yet powerful CI/CD engine with great extensibility.
This is the agent component that executes pipeline steps on behalf of the server.

The agent connects to a Woodpecker server and executes pipeline tasks in
Docker containers. Multiple agents can connect to a single server for
distributed builds.

Configuration:

* Set WOODPECKER\_SERVER to point to your Woodpecker server
* Set WOODPECKER\_AGENT\_SECRET to match your server's agent secret
* Agent requires access to Docker to execute pipelines

## Enable snaps on Debian and install Woodpecker CI/CD Agent

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:

```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
```

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:

```
sudo snap install snapd
```

### Install Woodpecker CI/CD Agent

To install Woodpecker CI/CD Agent, simply use the following command:

```
sudo snap install woodpecker-agent
```
