#### Updates and Archives WordPress Plugin

This tool is designed for WordPress developers to streamline the process of updating and managing plugins. It simplifies the workflow by allowing developers to archive old versions of plugins and update them directly from a designated folder without needing to run a local server.

The main idea came from Founder of Varabit Web Design & Development(<https://github.com/HridoyVaraby>) . Who use WordPress a lot.. So we discussed about the project.. And Make electron based application.. You can build it for Windows and MAC too... from source code.

Developers can easily upload the latest plugin versions, avoiding the manual process of searching, downloading, and installing them via the WordPress dashboard. This tool automates archiving older plugin versions and replacing them with the latest updates, ensuring developers always have access to current versions for their projects.

**Instruction**
First Select the plugin directory ( users your plugin folder located)

```
└── wp-content
    └── plugins
```

Then select the backup directory
Where the backup files will be saved..

**How it can be useful...**
If you are a developer you may already downloaded a lot of plugin.... Instead of search and install you may install by uploading...
With this application you will able to update you downloaded plugin to the latest version and archive the older version.

**When you select the plugins folder ( make sure plugins are unzipped)**
After updated with this program.. that will automatically create a folder updated\_plugin( zipped version) in the plugins directory.. which you can upload to your current WordPress development....

## Enable snaps on Arch Linux and install wp-plugin-updater

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.

Snaps are discoverable and installable from the [Snap Store](https://snapcraft.io/store), an app store with an audience of millions.

### Enable snapd

On Arch Linux, snap can be installed from the [Arch User Repository (AUR).](https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/snapd/)
The [manual build process](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Installing_packages) is the Arch-supported
install method for AUR packages, and you’ll need the [prerequisites](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Prerequisites)
installed before you can install any AUR package. You can then install snap with the following:

```
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/snapd.git
cd snapd
makepkg -si
```

Once installed, the *systemd* unit that manages the main snap communication socket needs to be enabled:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket
```

If [AppArmor](https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AppArmor) is enabled in your system, enable the service which loads AppArmor profiles for snaps:

```
sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.apparmor.service
```

To enable *classic* snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between `/var/lib/snapd/snap` and `/snap`:

```
sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
```

Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
