Hi there! LÖVE is an awesome framework you can use to make 2D games in Lua. It's free, open-source, and works on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android and iOS.
LÖVE is licensed under the liberal zlib/libpng license. This means that:
NOTE: I just packaged this framework in snap packaging format the original author as mentioned in website is "firstname.lastname@example.org" for further queries contact him or visit - https://love2d.org/ for more information about the project.
WHY I PACKAGED IT IN SNAP: In Ubuntu's Official repository there's a older version of LOVE and am myself learning LOVE these days so to bring the latest version 11.1 i decided to snap it and share with you guys.
HOW TO USE: open terminal and type the commands like this to run a .love game package:
love2d "absolute path to the .love archive"
Example: if my .love file or folder is in Downloads directory in my home folder:
Generate an embeddable card to be shared on external websites.
Choose your Linux distribution to get detailed installation instructions. If yours is not shown, get more details on the installing snapd documentation.
