#### Convert PDF, Office documents, images and audio to Markdown

MarkItDown converts PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, images, audio and
other files to Markdown, ready to use with text tools and language models.

**Examples**

```
markitdown ./report.pdf -o ./report.md
markitdown ./slides.pptx
cat ./page.html | markitdown -x html
```

**File access**

MarkItDown can use files in your home directory. To also use USB drives
and other removable media (/media, /mnt), run:

```
sudo snap connect markitdown:removable-media
```
