#### Self-hosted, open-source note-taking service

Memos is a lightweight, self-hosted service for capturing notes. Write in
Markdown, attach files, tag and search your memos, and share them with
others or keep them private.

**Getting started**

The service starts right after installation and listens on
127.0.0.1:8081 (this machine only). Open <http://localhost:8081> and create
the first account, which becomes the administrator.

To open it to your network:

```
sudo snap set memos addr=0.0.0.0
```

**Settings**

```
sudo snap set memos port=8081 addr=127.0.0.1
sudo snap set memos instance-url=https://memos.example.com
```

**Upgrades**

Database migrations run automatically on refresh. If an upgrade causes
problems, `sudo snap revert memos` returns to the previous release with
the database as it was before the upgrade.
