A small command-line application to view images from the terminal written
in Rust. It is basically the front-end of [viuer](https://github.com/atanunq/viuer).
It uses either [iTerm](https://iterm2.com/documentation-images.html) or
[Kitty](https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/graphics-protocol.html) graphics protocol, if supported. If not, lower half blocks (▄ or
\u2584) are displayed instead.
Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
On a Raspberry Pi running the latest version of Raspbian snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
You will also need to reboot your device:
After this, install the core snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install core
To install viu-image-viewer, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install viu-image-viewer --candidate
