Unofficial snap packaging for Chocolate Doom which is a Doom source port that accurately reproduces the experience of Doom as it was played in the 1990s.
Get started right away with:
$ chocolate-doom-jdstrand.freedm
or play the original Doom Shareware demo with:
$ chocolate-doom-jdstrand.demo
Easily launch Doom 2 and Doom by copying doom2.wad and/or doom.wad to ~/snap/chocolate-doom-jdstrand/common and launch with:
$ chocolate-doom-jdstrand.doom2
or
$ chocolate-doom-jdstrand.doom

Snap can be installed on elementary OS from the command line. Open Terminal from the Applications launcher and type the following:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
To install chocolate-doom-jdstrand, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install chocolate-doom-jdstrand
