Device Tree Compiler, dtc, takes as input a device-tree in a given format and outputs a device-tree in another format for booting kernels on embedded systems. Typically, the input format is "dts", a human readable source format, and creates a "dtb", or binary format as output.

Enable snapd
On a Raspberry Pi running the latest version of Raspbian snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
You will also need to reboot your device:
sudo reboot
After this, install the core snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install core
Install Device Tree Compiler
To install Device Tree Compiler, simply use the following command:
