Duplicity is a commandline program to backup your files to a local folder or remote server. It is extremely efficient, using rsync to store only the parts of files that have changed while still allowing you to restore files as at any date.
It supports storing your files on a large number of backends, including Amazon Drive, Azure, Dropbox, Google Docs, Google Drive, IMAP, Mega, OneDrive, rsync, SSH, Swift and WebDAV. The backup archives are encrypted and signed using GnuPG, protecting them from unauthorised access or modification.
NOTE: We provide amd64 in the edge and stable channels and additionally arm64, armhf, and ppc64 snaps. Only amd64 is actively tested and developed. Please let us know at https://gitlab.com/duplicity/duplicity/-/issues if you use the arm64, armhf, or ppc64 builds with success or failure.
Previous snap versions are archived on: https://sourceforge.net/projects/duplicity/files/snaps/
The command to install a manually downloaded snap file looks like snap install duplicity_1.x.x_amd64.snap --dangerous --classic
. NOTE: these will not autoupgrade on new releases.

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
Snap can be installed on Pop!_OS from the command line. Open Terminal from the Applications launcher and type the following:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
To install duplicity, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install duplicity --classic
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
