ObjectBox’ small footprint of less than 1MB makes the database uniquely suited for small devices while the high performance on IoT edge devices and gateways, as well as fog nodes, allows you to compute more data on the edge with your existing hardware. Combining the speed and size advantages of ObjectBox on the EdgeX platform, we empower companies to analyze more data locally on the machine, faster than ever before.
This snap contains ObjectBox, all of the EdgeX Foundry™ core, security, and support reference services, as well as Consul, Kong, Vault, a JRE for the two remaining Java services, and a set of basic device services.

On a Raspberry Pi running the latest version of Raspbian snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
You will also need to reboot your device:
sudo reboot
After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install ObjectBox with EdgeX, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install edgex-objectbox
