Generate changelogs from your Git history
git-cliff generates changelogs from the Git history of a project. It
understands conventional commits and other commit formats, and the
output is fully customizable with templates.
Examples
git cliff --init
git cliff -o CHANGELOG.md
git cliff --unreleased --bump
git cliff --latest --strip header
File access
git-cliff can use repositories in your home directory. To also use USB
drives and other removable media (/media, /mnt), run:
sudo snap connect git-cliff:removable-media
The global config file is
~/snap/git-cliff/current/.config/git-cliff/cliff.toml.
