Graphite Mail is a free, open-source mail, calendar and contacts client for Microsoft 365, personal Microsoft accounts (outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com), Gmail and any IMAP provider (Yahoo, iCloud, Zoho, Fastmail, AOL or a custom server).
Your mailbox is stored on this computer, in a folder you choose: read, search, reply, file and plan while offline, and your changes are sent when you reconnect, in order, with retries. Several accounts at once with an All Inboxes view, a calendar with invitations and Teams meetings, your organisation's directory, Outlook rules plus local rules for other accounts, Bcc, signatures, attachments, drafts, six themes and keyboard shortcuts.
No server of its own, no telemetry: the app talks to your provider directly. Sign-in tokens and app passwords live only in your system keyring (GNOME Keyring or KWallet). Because the snap is strictly confined, give it access to the keyring once:
sudo snap connect graphite-mail:password-manager-service
Email HTML is shown in a script-less sandbox, remote images are blocked until you allow them, and links open in your web browser.
Signing in: Microsoft 365 and personal Microsoft accounts sign in through your browser. Gmail and the other providers use an app password (the app shows where to create one). Google sign-in is not in this build.
Free and open source (Apache-2.0). Source, user guide and issues: https://github.com/quietbytehq/graphite-mail

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
If you’re running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) or later, including Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa), you don’t need to do anything. Snap is already installed and ready to go.
For versions of Ubuntu between 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and 15.10 (Wily Werewolf), as well as Ubuntu flavours that don’t include snap by default, snap can be installed from the Ubuntu Software Centre by searching for snapd.
Alternatively, snapd can be installed from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
To install Graphite Mail, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install graphite-mail
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
