Intranet Home server for easy file sharing among home devices. I made this as I was not finding a good tool to browse my photos residing on my desktop but I wanted to access them on my mobile without uploading them to any cloud service. Just select a folder and press start. It will give you a link which you can open in any web browser across all your intranet devices. It does not upload any thing on internet , your own wifi tool for sharing stuff among your wifi connected devices. With 2.0 you can now upload images or documents back to your laptop or desktop where homeserver is running and yes its pin protected.

If you’re running Kubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) or later, including Kubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) and Kubuntu 18.10 (Cosmic Cuttlefish), you don’t need to do anything. Snap is already installed and ready to go.
Versions of Kubuntu between 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) don’t include snap by default, but snap can be installed from the command line as follows:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
To install homeserver, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install homeserver
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
