l8tr ("later") keeps your tasks in named queues, labels them with tags and lets you discuss them in comments. It is a server with a web app that runs in any browser, can be installed to a phone's home screen, and keeps its own copy of your data, so it opens and works with no connection and catches up with the server when it is back. There is a REST API for scripts and other programs too.
The server does not start on install: a fresh database has no accounts, and browsers only install the app and run it offline over HTTPS, so the public address is not something a package can guess. Make an account, give it a password, say where the server will be reached, and turn it on:
sudo l8tr account create -email you@example.org
sudo l8tr account passwd you@example.org
sudo snap set l8tr base-url=https://tasks.example.org
sudo snap set l8tr server=true
The server listens on 127.0.0.1:8080 and speaks plain HTTP: put a reverse proxy that terminates TLS in front of it. Set listen-addr to change where it listens, for example to reach it from another machine on a network you trust.
Programs that are not a browser sign in with an API token instead:
sudo l8tr token create -name laptop you@example.org
The database lives in /var/snap/l8tr/common/l8tr.db, and is kept across updates. Back it up by copying that file with the server stopped.
The stable channel carries tagged releases. Edge is built from every commit to the main branch, for trying a fix before it is released.

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install l8tr, simply use the following command:
