logcat-colorize is a software that parses Android logcat from stdin output and prints it to stdout with improved formatting. Colors are added to the output to make it clearer. You'll still be able to add filters using the adb command. logcat-colorize is written in C++ for best performance.

Versions of Kubuntu between 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) don’t include snap by default, but snap can be installed from the command line as follows:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
To install logcat-colorize, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install logcat-colorize
