MarkView is the fastest way to read Markdown files — especially the ones ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools output every day.
Open a .md file and everything just works:
• Flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and mindmaps show up as real pictures
• Math formulas render beautifully (great for physics, ML, and papers)
• Data charts (bar, line, scatter, heatmaps) appear as actual charts
• Tables, task lists, and 100+ code languages all styled correctly
Handy extras:
• One-click "set as default .md opener" so your files open instantly
• Built-in document stats: words, characters, lines, and AI token
estimate — useful when you're prepping prompts or checking length
• Chinese / English word counts tracked separately
• Light and dark themes, search, and adjustable font size
Made for anyone who reads a lot of Markdown — files generated
by AI agents, docs downloaded from GitHub, or your own notes.
No cloud, no account, no tracking — just open and read.

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
Snap can be installed on Fedora from the command line:
sudo dnf install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
To enable classic snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between /var/lib/snapd/snap and /snap:
sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
To install MarkView, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install markview-reader
