This (unofficial) snap started in 2024 as a repackage of the latest AppImage file (v4.5.1: 2017) because it became unable to work on Ubuntu 23.10+ (because of the drop of LibFuse2 for LibFuse3). In 2025, Molotov suddenly released a new Linux release (v7.1.0. This Snap does use the .Deb). Note: since 2022, Molotov can run without a dedicated software, simply from a web browser (as a webapp).

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install molotov-d042, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install molotov-d042
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
