Local, offline speech-to-text for the Ubuntu desktop. Invoke the client, speak and the transcript is typed into the focused application via IBus. Audio is captured by this snap (the inference snaps have no microphone access) and pushed as PCM to a local backend snap over a Unix socket; nothing leaves the machine and no audio is persisted.

Snap can be installed on elementary OS from the command line. Open Terminal from the Applications launcher and type the following:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
To install myna, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install myna --edge
