Powerful open-source relational database management system
MySQL is the world's most popular open-source relational database management system, powering many of the world's most accessed applications, including Amazon, Netflix, Uber, and many more. It delivers a multi-threaded, multi-user, and robust SQL database server for mission-critical, heavy-load production systems. MySQL is fast, reliable, and powerful.
Info: During installation, a randomly generated password is created for the MySQL root user. You can retrieve it using the following command:
sudo mysql-strict.rootpass
Commands:
mysql-strict.mysql
mysql-strict.mysqladmin
mysql-strict.mysqldump
mysql-strict.mysqlimport
Tip: For convenience, you can create command aliases using snapd's alias feature.
sudo snap alias mysql-strict.mysql mysql
This way, you can now simply log into the MySQL server with just:
mysql -u root -p
