NO WARRANTIES at all --- this is my first snap, and you can use it at your own risk!
This is a snap version of the Frans Schreuder's PPA of QUCS, corresponding to version 0.0.19-rc3, for Ubuntu 16.04. QUCS is a very nice circuit simulator.
You have to install it with snap install --devmode --edge qucs-19-rg
In the first run, you need to go to File -> Application Settings -> Location tab and set Qucs home correctly (legacy value is .qucs in your home directory). Moreover, the snap is unable to call inkscape, so you can only save as image in .png and .svg format, nad do the conversion to eps/pdf by hand.
The executable is called qucs-19-rg.qucs
The snap yaml is available at https://github.com/Rmano/qucs-19-snap
This snap hasn't been updated in a while. It might be unmaintained and have stability or security issues.

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
Snap can be installed on Fedora from the command line:
sudo dnf install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
To enable classic snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between /var/lib/snapd/snap and /snap:
sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
To install qucs-19-rg, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install qucs-19-rg --edge
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
