This is an example application for a Rust crate that provides access to some of the snapcraft environment. The application is an displays the values of a number of environment variables (see: https://snapcraft.io/docs/environment-variables ) that your Snap exposes to all contained applications, and is an example of how you can add additional functionality and context if your application has be deployed via Snap.

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install snapcraft-rust-example, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install rust-example
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
