Sheet Optimizer is a free program that combines a full stock system with a purchasing system, and decides for itself, per part, which sheet to use, following an ascending ladder: your own stock first, then a sub-sheet, and only as a last resort a whole new sheet.
Features include automatic cutting optimization with a stock-first purchasing route, numbered inventory and offcut tracking (with offcuts returned to stock automatically), printable cutting diagrams and step-by-step cutting sequences, label printing, edge banding and groove support, and CSV/Excel import and export. Runs entirely locally - no account, no cloud, no tracking.

Snap can be installed from the command line. Open the Konsole terminal and enter the following:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
To install sheet-optimizer, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install sheet-optimizer
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
