This tiny app is a beast in searching words online and offline!
** Use Online Mode if your laptop is old. Installing the Offline Mode dictionaries requires intensive text processing. **
Recommendation If you get annoyed by repetitive OS notification "Window is Ready" while translating selected texts, use "NoAnnoyance v2" GNOME Extension at https://github.com/bdaase/noannoyance to suppress them.
Online Mode: Great for translating words and sentences in no time. It crawls the web and use trusted online resources.
Offline Mode: No need to look for databases or worry about dictionary file formats and so on. There are several (all free) huge dictionaries for French, German etc. (thanks to kaikki.org) which provide detailed information of roots of words (etymology), variations in different countries, idioms, etc.
This software is built with Tauri which combines ReactJS, ViteJs and the Rust Language.
