TreeTag is a personal data manager. It stores information in a hierarchy (the "Tree" part of the name). But unlike other tree-based applications, TreeTag automatically positions items in the tree based on field values (the "Tag" part of the name).

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install TreeTag, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install treetag
