Example of shipping a VillageSQL extension as a separate snap that plugs into the villagesql snap through the content interface:
sudo snap install villagesql-hello
sudo snap connect villagesql:extensions villagesql-hello:extensions
sudo snap restart villagesql
sudo villagesql.mysql -uroot
-e "INSTALL EXTENSION vsql_hello; SELECT hello('snap');"
Provides hello(str) and shout(str), written in C++ with the VillageSQL v3 SDK and built against the published SDK tarball (no server build needed).

On Debian 9 (Stretch) and newer, snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update

After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install villagesql-hello, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install villagesql-hello --edge
