Automatic media player and kiosk display system

AVWOWE is a free generative media player and kiosk system for Linux. Point it at a folder of photos and videos and it starts playing immediately, cycling through your content in a continuous loop. No playlists, no manual curation, no additional setup required.

Videos can be capped to a set length, sliced into automatic jump cuts and started at a random point, all at once, which keeps playback varied even with a small library. Layer on floating picture-in-picture overlays, a scrolling ticker fed from a local file or live URL, and a corner watermark. Anything you add to the folder gets picked up automatically.

Transitions, overlay behavior, ticker styling and more are all configurable, and a remote config URL lets you update settings across multiple machines without touching them.
