Hardware BOM analyzer for Canonical workloads
Analyse a customer hardware Bill of Materials (BOM) for Canonical workloads (Ceph, Charmed OpenStack, Sunbeam, Canonical Kubernetes).
A single command, bom-analyzer, normalises any vendor BOM (Excel, PDF, CSV,
…) into the canonical schema, runs the profile rule suite, checks each chassis
against the Ubuntu certified-hardware catalogue, and writes Markdown + HTML
reports.
Normalisation uses OpenRouter by default (set an API key with
snap set bom-analyzer openrouter.api-key=...) or a bundled local Ollama
model (snap set bom-analyzer llm.provider=ollama) when the hardware supports
it. Local model weights download on first use into the snap's private
directory; a bundled Ollama service (GPU-accelerated when available) runs in
the background for that case.
Usage: bom-analyzer -i quote.xlsx -p charmed-openstack --release "24.04 LTS" -o report.md
